舞鶴の抹茶の特徴
京都府舞鶴市に流れる由良川のわきにある茶園で育つ碾茶（てんちゃ）を石臼で挽く。
それはとても美しく濃い緑色で、後味の甘さが特徴の高級なお抹茶。
のちに茶商の手により最高級な宇治抹茶へ。それが舞鶴のお抹茶であります。

Matcha from Maizuru, Kyoto
Along the banks of the Yura River in Maizuru, Kyoto, tea fields nurture *tencha* — the special tea leaves used to make matcha.
The carefully grown tencha is slowly ground on traditional stone mills, revealing a beautifully deep, vivid green matcha with a rich flavor and a gentle sweetness that lingers on the finish.
The tencha grown here is later refined and finished by skilled tea merchants, becoming premium Uji Matcha.
This is the matcha of Maizuru —
born from the tea fields of our hometown in Kyoto.
